My Background
I started running Meta ads in 2010, back when it was still mostly a Facebook-ads world. For the next several years I ran Tribeup Sdn Bhd as a Meta ads agency — managing campaigns directly for clients across ecommerce, lead generation, and service businesses.
In 2016, I founded Tribeup Academy and started running Meta ads group training programs and courses. They worked well enough, but I kept seeing the same gap: people would finish a course understanding Meta ads in general, but still not know what was actually wrong with their account. A course can teach you what CTR is. It can’t tell you whether your CTR is good or bad for your specific product in your specific market.
When the pandemic hit, I moved everything digital and closed the agency side of the business. We kept running group training and coaching online, and I introduced 1-on-1 coaching in 2020 as part of the offering alongside it. Over the next couple of years, it became clear 1-on-1 was producing far better results for clients than the group format — so in 2022, I moved to 1-on-1 coaching exclusively.
Over the years, I’ve worked with over 6,000 people across more than 50 countries — through both the group programs and, since 2022, 1-on-1 coaching — and personally audited over 1,000 individual ad accounts through live 1-on-1 reviews.
